Chihuahua Race Description:
Cinco de Mayo continues with our exciting First Annual Chihuahua Race. The Chihuahua or Chihuahueño is the smallest breed of dog. And named after the state of Chihuahua in Mexico, where the first specimens of the breed were discovered.

Contest Details:
Entry for the Chihuahua Race will began on-line soon. You may sign up on-site on May 8th between 1pm-3pm. Races begin at 5 p.m. and are open to the first 150 dogs.  King and Queen of Chihuahuas begin at 3pm and are open to the first 150 dogs. The entry fee is $25 includes you in the race and also enters you in King & Queen Chihuahua Contest. King & Queen Chihuahua will be judged on appearance. The Chihuahua Race is judged on speed. Which of our contestants cross the finish line first?
Chihuahua Contest ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:
All vaccinations are current. Race open to only purebred and mixed-bred Chihuahuas are eligible All dogs must be on a leash when not involved in a race. Judges are not professional judges. This is an event meant only for entertainment. Only the first one hundred fifty (150) Chihuahuas registered are eligible for the races. Chihuahuas must be present 1 hour before contest to check-in with above documentation.

OMG….Come hungry. We have all types of food vendors ready to tantalize your taste buds. And if you are looking for Authentic Cinco de Mayo cuisine, then look no more we have that covered too. For those over 21 please see ID wrist band locations/ticket locations first.

Family Fun
What every family needs….a free night out. Your kids will enjoy our Kids Zone. It is complete with mega fun inflatables, take home Cinco de Mayo Color Art, Piñatas… Piñatas…y mas Piñatas. While your kids experience Cinco de Mayo, we invite you to enjoy the heritage of the holiday, by experiencing the music, folkloric dancing, enjoying the decorative streamers, and tasting the foods. Enjoy Menudo…not the 80’s band but traditional Mexican Stew!

Air Guitar Competition
You will not want to miss our First Annual Air Guitar Competition. Entry is free or bring a can good to be donated to area food bank. This event is for all ages. If we are lucky maybe we will get a father and son team entry. THE RULES are simple. 1. Keep it clean. 2. And Rock Out to your favorite tune. You can bring you own CD or use a selection provided by our DJ. There will be judges, so be ready to use your moves and win a grand prize.

Cook -Off Caliente
Get your pots, pans, and best recipes ready. Don’t just bring your tent and cooker but bring your A-Game. The Rock’n the Beach Teams says it’s most important to bring the heat! We’re holding a Cook-Off Caliente Style. Each participant will be given 1 essential ingredient to use. There will be a small entry fee, so stay tuned for details.

Man VS Cinco de Mayo
We have all watched the TV show and said, “I bet I can eat that.” Now let’s see. Here is your chance to show all your friends how tuff you are. Entry forms will be available on-line and on-site registration 5pm-7pm. Man VS Cinco de Mayo food challenge begins at 9pm. More details to come.

Cinco de Mayo on Stage Entertainment
Relax with us and enjoy the harmonious sounds of colorful rhythmic music. You name it…we will have it. Come out and enjoy our regional bands, local musicians, and a DJ. We even have a Mariachi band as Atmosphere Entertainment walking through the crowd.
